# Industry Secrets Debated: Where Workers Push Back on Viral Claims

Start here

## Which viral claims workers shot down, and which they backed

Funeral workers rejected the shared-cremation story, and scope cleaners rejected the dirty-colonoscope one. Vet staff confirmed rabies testing needs brain tissue, but said a bite often means a 10-day watch, not automatic euthanasia. On C-sections, teachers and childcare, workers and families split.

What you will find
- Cremation: funeral and crematory workers rejected shared cremation, while several admitted tiny fragments from an earlier cremation can remain.
- Colonoscopes are reused after cleaning and at least high-level disinfection, which is not the sterilization several defenders described.
- Rabies: vet staff confirmed brain testing, but a healthy dog, cat or ferret that bites can often be observed for 10 days instead of put down.
- C-sections split by role: parents and doulas mostly called the claim true; labor and NICU nurses mostly called it false.
- Teachers and childcare staff denied it about themselves; aides, parents and ex-workers said they saw it in colleagues.
- Several confident claims were simply wrong: USPS insurance pays documented claims, recycling happens, housing lotteries exist, and store yogurt can contain live cultures.
- Some workplace stories remain unresolved because the comment gives no place, date or record to check.

## 10 claims workers had plenty to say about

These topics drew the most substantive discussion. Each bar counts distinct captured comments and replies about that subject—not votes for whether a claim is true.

### 1 Instrument reprocessing

97 source records

Reused does not automatically mean dirty, and the sterile-processing and GI workers who replied said so again and again. They did not agree on the step itself: some said scopes are autoclaved or sterilized, others said high-level disinfection, which is CDC's minimum for flexible GI scopes and is not sterilization. The real question is whether that step is done right between patients, not whether the tool was new.

### 2 Rabies testing

94 source records

Vet staff confirmed the grim part: animal rabies is confirmed by testing brain tissue after death. What vets and animal-control workers corrected was the trigger. A bite does not automatically mean a pet must be put down; a healthy dog, cat or ferret can often be watched for ten days under public-health guidance.

### 3 Teacher–family relationships

82 source records

Teachers mostly answered for themselves, and several said a rude parent makes them kinder to the child. Aides, parents and former students answered about other adults, and several said they had watched a child pay for a parent's behavior. One teacher drew the line more precisely: rude parents get less contact and fewer volunteer invitations, not a worse-treated child, which still means less communication with that family.

### 4 Clinical training

71 source records

The person drawing your blood may have learned on the job, and medical assistants in the thread stood on both sides of this claim. What divided them was training path: some practiced supervised draws in an accredited program before graduating, others describe on-the-job training, and rules differ by role and state. A job title alone tells you little about someone's supervised practice.

### 5 Birth decisions

70 source records

Was a C-section necessary, or did someone rush the decision? Parents and doulas mostly said the claim matched what they saw; labor-and-delivery and NICU nurses mostly said it did not. Research does find payment incentives can influence C-section rates in some settings, and ACOG lists real reasons for surgery, from stalled labor to fetal heart-rate concerns. Neither can say why one particular baby was delivered by surgery.

### 6 Cremation procedures

66 source records

Funeral and crematory workers rejected the shared-cremation story more firmly than almost any other claim in the thread. Several of the same workers admitted that tiny traces from an earlier cremation can remain in the chamber, which California's consumer guide also describes. Group cremation does exist for pets, as a cheaper option families are offered, and that may explain some of the confusion.

### 7 Hotel housekeeping

64 source records

A freshly made bed does not tell you when every layer was washed. Hotel workers largely agreed that blankets and comforters can stay on between guests even when sheets are changed, and they blamed per-room time limits set by management rather than lazy staff. Published rules treat bedding layers differently too, so the revealing question is what that particular hotel changes between guests.

### 8 Childcare treatment and oversight

46 source records

Current childcare workers mostly said it did not happen where they worked. Parents and former workers described yelling, rough handling and favoritism, and several said they quit over it. A director who says they fired staff for this behavior supports both sides: it happens, and good centers act on it. Staffing, supervision and inspection history tell parents more than the fee.

### 9 Food handling

45 source records

Gloves do not replace handwashing. A cook can contaminate food with dirty gloves just as with dirty hands, so changing tasks matters. That is a concrete safety issue; chefs and servers in the thread mostly rejected the more lurid stories, such as picking at a customer's fries, while a few servers said it does happen in some restaurants.

### 10 Recycling

29 source records

Does it all end up in the same landfill? The broadest version of that claim falls apart: EPA data records millions of tons recycled, and operators document sorting facilities. A garbage-truck driver described mixed loads, residents described separate trucks and fines, and both kept returning to contamination as the reason a load gets dumped. Finding a bin's real destination takes the collector and location, not just the recycling symbol.

Each finding below explains what the research supports and what remains unknown. The captured comments preserve the workers’ accounts; their identities and individual experiences have not been independently authenticated.

##### Rough package handling alleged at an Amazon site

Needs context

A commenter says packages are forcefully handled in the Amazon sortation warehouse where they work, and speculates that this explains some broken deliveries.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Amazon publishes a process for replacing eligible damaged, defective or broken items. That acknowledges damage claims, not deliberate slamming at this unnamed sortation site. The targeted Amazon search did not identify a matching facility, date, investigation or shipment, so the employee’s explanation for broken items remains unresolved. Amazon is the named operator; do not use USPS insurance evidence. A damage policy is not an investigation of the alleged handling.

##### An Apple agent says their chat tool does not reveal unsent text

Needs context

A self-described Apple support worker says they cannot see what a customer types before sending. This is a specific workplace counterexample, not a verified statement about every Apple support channel.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** LiveChat documents a message-preview feature that lets an agent see text as a customer types before sending it. That verifies the capability on a named platform. It does not establish that Apple or every help desk uses that tool; the Apple employee’s contrary account remains specific to their reported setup. ##### A commenter questions privacy in cloud storage

Needs context

A commenter argues that storing private images in the cloud exposes them to whoever operates the service and possible government access. The post names iCloud but gives no evidence of particular access or safeguards.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Apple says Advanced Data Protection keeps most iCloud categories end-to-end encrypted with keys on trusted devices; standard protection differs, and some categories are exceptions. That contradicts an absolute claim that officials or Apple can simply read everything stored in iCloud. It does not eliminate legal access to data Apple can decrypt or access through a device. The source reports a commenter questions privacy in cloud storage; this account has not been independently verified and cannot establish a general rule.

Man the cloud one is the one that I been trying to tell everyone for the longest. Think about it. Everyone sends there nude and private pics to their cloud.. but in reality, the cloud was created, which means it can be accessed by whoever created. So just think - people in the govt or whoever needs access to your cloud and they can see your personal business. I never used iCloud

##### A customer alleges a cigarette was served with fries at Applebee’s

Safety context

One commenter says they received a half-smoked cigarette in fries at Applebee’s. The account has no identified location, date or corroborating material, and should not be generalized to the chain.

⚠ Safety contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Safety context:** Food needs protection from pests and foreign material. A prevention rule does not establish that every kitchen has pests or that straining insects makes contaminated liquor acceptable. No restaurant location, date, complaint or sample identifies the account.

##### A former employee criticizes retention tactics

Needs context

A self-described former AT&T employee warns that retention staff may resist cancellation and recommends legal threats. The account does not establish company policy or endorse that tactic.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** AT&T’s agreement describes customer service, a written Notice of Dispute and an informal resolution period before arbitration or small claims. That is a documented escalation process. It does not promise that threatening to sue a retention employee improves an offer or makes cancellation easier. Current company terms, not independent evidence of retention conduct. No account, recording or offer confirms the alleged tactic.

##### A Canada Post customer reports a successful damage claim

Needs context

A commenter says an insured package arrived broken and Canada Post reimbursed the full amount.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Canada Post allows the sender to seek compensation for an insured damaged package after investigation. Payment is limited by the item’s value and the applicable coverage. This makes the reported reimbursement plausible under an actual program, but the comment provides no claim decision or receipt to verify the particular payment. The source reports a canada post customer reports a successful damage claim; this account has not been independently verified and cannot establish a general rule.

##### A reply describes a dermatologist’s preference for consistent skincare products

Needs context

A commenter says their dermatologist favored CeraVe for familiarity and consistency, but accepted their existing Haruharu cleanser and Dr. Althea cream after reviewing ingredients and reactions. Claims about product testing and brand-wide suitability remain attributed, not medical recommendations.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** The useful part of this account is that the dermatologist kept a routine that already suited the patient. It does not establish one universal “gold standard” brand. In the U.S., ordinary cosmetics generally do not receive FDA premarket approval, so a blanket regulatory-approval explanation for brand recommendations is misleading.

Useful reply context

I actually do have an answer for that bc i asked my dermatologist the EXACT same question when she recommended me cerave shampoo. the reason is that Cerave is an extremely consistent brand that very rarely changes their products or discontinues products, they are very well researched and have been around for a long time, they are sold internationally and are very accessible and affordable, their labs are reputable and monitored extremely closely and consistently, and realistically, Cerave does work for the vast majority of people. Dermatologists can’t rely on recommendations of products from niche brands or international brands that aren’t approved by their own countries regulatory bodies, for the reasons above that cerave covers. I personally use the haruharu black rice gel cleanser, and the Dr althea 147 cream, and my dermatologist reviewed the ingredients and made me test them against other products to check for potential irritants. She didn’t tell me to switch to cerave, because I already had a consistent skincare routine for the basics. It’s an easy staple to start off on a clean fresh slate of products they know and understand adverse reactions to if it comes up, and if cerave does irritate their patients skin, then they look to other alternatives. It’s not about cerave being the cure-all for all skin problems, especially acne, it’s more about it being the gold standard for a fresh slate they can work off of if it doesn’t work because they can whittle down potential causes of skin problems much easier when they know the products and their reactions adverse or not, very well.

##### A secondhand account alleges different bun-storage periods

Needs context

A commenter relays a bakery worker's claim that Wendy's holds buns for 240 days while Chick-fil-A holds them about a week. Storage temperature, process, location, and evidence are missing.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** A claimed 240-day bun policy needs the chain’s specification and storage conditions. USDA distinguishes continuously frozen safety from quality loss; the number alone cannot establish unsafe buns or confirm the Wendy’s/Chick-fil-A comparison. The bakery, bun specification, thawing date and policy document are absent.

View 1 direct source comment and 1 fact-check source

##### A former Choice-affiliated housekeeper describes a 30-minute room target

Needs context

A commenter says a Choice-affiliated hotel expected checkout rooms to be stripped, remade and cleaned in 30 minutes. They say they checked additional bedding and replaced it when needed, distinguishing their own practice from claims about every worker.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Linen policies distinguish layers. MainStay describes laundering bedspreads between guests, while Florida requires clean bedding and freshly laundered guest sheets. That helps challenge sweeping assumptions, but published policy cannot prove how often a particular hotel actually washes blankets. Choice includes multiple brands; no specific property, brand or written workload rule is supplied.

View 0 direct source comments and 1 contextual reply and 2 fact-check sources

Useful reply context

It really depends on hotel chain honestly. I worked at one that was affiliated with Choice for a while and the standards are very different. Housekeeping is expected to strip linens, pillow cases, and flat sheets and then remake the bed and clean the entire room in 30 minutes top to bottom for every check out that day. With my rooms I would strip them and check bedding to make sure they were still clean and fresh. If not they were stripped too and fresh was put on. I can't speak for everyone but that is what i did when I worked as a housekeeper.

##### A store-brand manufacturing comparison

Needs context

A commenter says Sam's Club and Costco store-brand products are made by name-brand companies. Shared manufacturing does not by itself establish identical ingredients or quality.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** A factory name is not proof that two foods use an identical recipe. Checking a specific comparison needs the products’ ingredient labels and manufacturer information; none are supplied for the sweeping store-brand claims. ##### A veterinary receptionist describes pharmacy-discount use

Needs context

A veterinary receptionist says GoodRx can apply to pet prescriptions filled at human pharmacies and names Sam's Club, Costco, and Walmart. Eligibility and prescribing restrictions require confirmation.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** GoodRx says most of its coupons can be used when a pet is prescribed a human medication, with exceptions such as compounded and pet-only medicines. That directly supports the receptionist’s practical observation. It is a company description of eligibility, not a guarantee of a lower price at every pharmacy or proof of the reported transaction. ##### A former Dunkin worker alleges contamination in blended drinks

Needs context

A former Dunkin employee alleges poorly cleaned tubes contained fruit flies and assigns a precise number to a drink. No location, inspection, or measurement verifies this allegation.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** FDA’s 2022 model code requires ice and beverage equipment cleaning to prevent soil or mold. Manufacturer instructions matter; this does not prove universal contamination. ##### A reply gives GFL as a counterexample to the recycling claim

Needs context

A commenter says their boyfriend, who worked for GFL, reported taking loads to recycling. This is secondhand and does not settle what happened at another operator or location.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** GFL documents operating material-recovery facilities, including its Calgary sorting facility and Winnipeg operation. That supports the reply’s claim that GFL has actual recycling infrastructure. These are company reports, not an independent audit of the commenter’s route, and their existence does not mean every collected item is recyclable or recovered. #### Gift of Hope

1 secret1 source recordHealthcare

##### A commenter says donor-registry status can persist beyond an ID change

Needs context

The comment makes a useful distinction between an ID card and a donor-registry entry. HRSA says registration continues until it is removed. The further claim that Gift of Hope simply takes over needs correction: its described process includes authorization and death determination, separate from efforts to save a living patient.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** HRSA says registry status continues until removal and adult registration supplies legal consent. Gift of Hope describes independent hospital death determination and authorization before recovery. The practical registry distinction is supported; “takes over” does not accurately describe unrestricted power over a living patient. State law and actual registration govern; do not infer this commenter’s legal status or family options.

Just bc you take organ donor off your ID does not mean that you aren’t still an organ donor. You have to take yourself off the registry as well. Many people don’t know this and when something happens, gift of hope comes in and takes over and their family has no say in what happens next.

##### A former Hilton worker describes replacement and closure after contamination

Needs context

A hotel worker says Hilton properties they knew replaced contaminated contents after severe incidents and kept rooms out of service. Their reference to later demand does not establish company policy.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Blood contamination calls for appropriate cleaning and worker protection. Simply turning over a contaminated mattress would not solve the problem. The cited rules do not impose a universal requirement to discard every mattress after any death or close every room for a fixed number of hours. The search did not identify the particular hotel incident described. A chain name without a property, date or incident record cannot establish a death count, what staff replaced, or how quickly that room returned to service. Public policy search did not produce a matching Hilton rule; local policies can differ.

#### Intuit

##### A commenter combines free training information with consumer-service warnings

Mixed evidence

The commenter combines useful leads with overstatements. Intuit offers free courses, but delivery workers do not universally earn only tips and no-exam insurance does not guarantee acceptance. Historical studies support some month-end car-price differences and grocery shelf effects; they do not establish rainy-day bargains or that most groceries are nearly out of date. Red meat can result from normal pigment chemistry.

◐ Mixed evidenceChecked 2026-09-26

**Evidence is mixed:** Intuit offers free Academy courses, but a course badge is not a professional license. DoorDash pays base pay as well as tips, and no-exam life insurance is not guaranteed acceptance. Meat can become red through normal pigment chemistry. Historical research supports some month-end car discounts and shows shelf placement can affect grocery choices; neither establishes rainy-day bargains or that most groceries are nearly out of date.

Here is some additional information to help out: 1\. Intuit has a website where you can learn taxes and bookkeeping for free and if you pass they give you a certificate 2\. If you have extra money get life insurance and do research to make sure you’re getting the best rate (depending on who you are applying with might give you different prices depending on policy) plus examine what financial goals you want 3\. Check dates in the grocery store most stuff that you will grab in a hurry is almost about to go out of date and throughly check the meat most some grocery stores dye the meat to look fresh 4.If you’re ordering delivery, you aren’t paying the driver with the delivery fee you’re paying the company. The driver only makes money through tips 5\. Stop getting mad at employees we can’t change policy or prices for you, half of us don’t even want to be there 6\. Stop telling us how much you have in your bank account, if your card didn’t go through we don’t know why, that’s your job to figure it out 7\. Stop telling someone to smile it makes them more attractive, half the time that’s just our face or we don’t want to be there 8\. Be nice to any cashier or people who make your food 9\. Start putting money aside, if you think it’s hard now imagine in the next few years (inflation goes up even when you’re not ready) 10.Never tell anyone in sales what you can afford, they will try to take advantage because if you told them how much you can afford they figure if their pitch is good enough they can talk you into extra money 11\. Go car shopping about the end of the month and preferably when it’s raining (no one wants to get rained on) and check to make sure you’re getting the best deal sometimes you can get the car cheaper 12\. Always do your research before going anywhere sometimes you can save money on the simplest things but cheaper doesn’t always mean better 13.If you have health problems get insurance with companies that don’t do testing, not only do you save money you save yourself from being denied most life insurance companies don’t want to take risks on you passing away quickly or you claiming too many times. There’s more but it would take more time so God bless .

##### An unverified warning names a Kaiser Permanente location

Needs context

A commenter endorses the video's blood-draw allegation and warns against a Kaiser Permanente site on West Ponce de Leon in Decatur, Georgia. No incident details or records support the warning.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Blood-draw preparation is not one nationwide pathway. BLS says medical assistants and phlebotomists commonly complete a course, but some enter through workplace training. California allows trained medical assistants to draw blood under supervision and specifies practice requirements. Neither a certificate nor a difficult needle attempt, by itself, establishes an individual worker’s competence. Kaiser lists a laboratory at 201 West Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur, matching the named location. The targeted official-source search did not identify a disciplinary finding establishing the commenter’s warning. The comment contains no visit date, clinician or documented error, so confirming the facility must not be presented as confirming misconduct. #### Locks of Love

##### A commenter challenges Locks of Love’s donation model

Needs context

A commenter alleges that Locks of Love sells donated hair and provides few wigs. Its posted return for the year ending November 2023 reports $845,917 revenue and 73 hairpieces; that dated filing does not support billions in revenue or identify the commenter’s unspecified last year.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Locks of Love says recipients receive custom hairpieces free of charge. It also openly says donated gray hair is sold to offset manufacturing costs. These are different practices: sale of unsuitable donated hair does not establish that recipients must buy their prostheses. Its published financial filings are available; the comment’s billion-dollar claim has no supporting figure. Locks of Love’s own posted return for the year ending November 2023 reports $845,917 revenue and 73 hairpieces provided. That is a documented scale, not billions. It cannot identify the commenter’s unspecified “last year,” and the charity’s disclosed sale of unsuitable hair does not mean recipients buy their hairpieces. A reply says materials collected for recycling at the Lowe’s where they worked were discarded, with batteries handled differently. The commenter supplies no location or date, so the claim remains local and unverified.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** Lowe’s documents store collection programs and plastic recycling through its distribution system. That establishes a real corporate recycling program, but it cannot establish what happened at the unnamed store in this comment. Needs context

A commenter names McDonald’s and supermarkets while alleging customer donations reimburse earlier corporate gifts after tax and publicity benefits. The tax and fund-flow claims are unverified.

⚠ Needs contextChecked 2026-09-26

**Context:** IRS describes deductions for contributions the taxpayer makes. McDonald’s separately reports its own corporate gift and customer round-up fundraising, and says restaurant donations support Ronald McDonald House. That contradicts assuming every checkout gift merely reimburses a company’s prior donation. No campaign agreement or return was supplied to establish the claimed Safeway arrangement. Primary guidance qualifies the general factual claim; the source-specific experience remains unverified.

## Which viral claims survived the people who do the work

The video read out a long list of anonymous industry secrets. Many commenters then said whether each claim matched their job, their family's experience or their paperwork. This section tallies the comments that explicitly took a side on the most-argued claims, then lays out the patterns that explain why people split the way they did. The tallies count what people said in this thread; they are not a poll and they do not measure how common anything is.

### Bodies are cremated together and the ashes split

- **46** pushed back
- **5** backed it

Rejected. Funeral directors, crematory operators and morticians made up much of the pushback; the few backers cited a documentary or the fine print, or gave no source. Some of the rejecting comments volunteered the real caveat: tiny fragments from an earlier cremation can remain (counted in the patterns below). What the checks support: California's consumer guide describes incidental residue, which is different from cremating people together.

It's been called out a many times, and is usually listed in the fine print that most families don't notice.

### Colonoscopes go from patient to patient

- **38** pushed back
- **7** called it true only because scopes are reused after cleaning
- **7** backed it

Rejected as framed. Sterile-processing, GI and surgical staff said reuse is normal and cleaning happens between patients; another 7 said the claim was true only in that reuse sense. The defenders then split on the cleaning step itself (counted in the patterns below). What the checks support: CDC requires cleaning and at least high-level disinfection of flexible GI scopes after each patient; high-level disinfection is not the same as sterilization.

while the colonoscopy one is true, the comment depicts it as unclean.

Partly right. Vet techs, shelter and animal-control workers confirmed that rabies is confirmed from brain tissue after death. Mostly rejected. Hotel managers, housekeepers and a former crime-scene investigator said contaminated bedding is thrown out. ### The person drawing your blood was never trained

- **27** pushed back
- **27** backed it

Split by training path. Medical assistants stood on both sides. The comments that named what decides it pointed to whether the person went through a program with supervised draws, and whether their state requires such a program (counted in the patterns below). What the checks support: BLS and California's medical board describe several training pathways; rules differ by role and state.

### Teachers treat a child worse when the parent is rude

- **39** denied doing it themselves
- **2** denied it for themselves but saw colleagues do it
- **22** saw it happen to a child, or were its target
- **1** teacher admitted doing it

Split by vantage point. Denials were almost all teachers speaking about themselves, and 2 of those teachers also said they had watched colleagues do it. Confirmations came mostly from aides, substitutes, parents and former students describing other adults, plus a teacher who admitted losing interest in a rude child (1). What the checks support: research shows teacher expectations can be biased, but it cannot measure how often this specific retaliation happens.

### Childcare staff mistreat children when parents are not looking

- **24** pushed back
- **30** backed it

Split by vantage point. Current workers and owners mostly said it did not happen where they worked. Parents and former workers described yelling, rough handling and favoritism, and many of the confirming comments said the writer quit or keeps their own children out of daycare (counted in the patterns below). What the checks support: observational research links sensitive caregiving to better outcomes; it does not show that all centers neglect children.

## The patterns behind the pushback

### Who is speaking decided the verdict

On teachers, childcare, hotels and hospital care, the people denying a claim were mostly describing their own conduct or their own workplace. The people confirming it were usually watching someone else: aides and substitutes, parents, patients' families, guests. Some teachers did both in a single reply, saying they had never held a parent against a child but had seen colleagues do it; the scoreboard shows them as their own group. A worker's denial is good evidence about that worker. It cannot vouch for the rest of the building. On hotels, the most concrete confirmations (3) came from extended-stay residents and a police officer, not front-desk staff.

I’ve never disliked a child because of them. However, I have witnessed this scenario a few times unfortunately.

### C-sections split by job title

Parents recounting their own or a relative's birth (24) and doulas (3) mostly called the claim true. Labor-and-delivery and NICU nurses (4) mostly called it false, joined by parents whose surgery had a clear reason. Several parents credited a nurse or midwife with steering them away from an unnecessary operation, while another said her nurses were the ones pushing for it. The most useful move in the thread was a parent's: she asked the hospital for a written account of why she needed the surgery.

I called the hospital and made them send me a detailed report on why I needed a c-section.

### Workers confirmed the mechanism and corrected the trigger

Almost nobody disputed that rabies is confirmed from brain tissue after death; the correction, from vets and animal-control workers, was that a bite usually means observation or quarantine, not automatic euthanasia. Even so, 4 confirming comments repeated the overstatement. Cremation followed the same shape: funeral workers rejected shared cremation but 9 of them conceded that small fragments of an earlier cremation can end up in an urn. On colonoscopes, the true and false camps were describing the same fact, reuse after cleaning; they disagreed about what the video implied.

you dont HAVE to euthanize your dog. Where I live, you just have to put them in a 10 day quarantine. But yes. You have to remove the head for a rabies test.

### Some of the corrections needed correcting

Workers defending colonoscopes disagreed with each other about how the scopes are made safe: 13 said they are sterilized or autoclaved, 8 said high-level disinfection. CDC's minimum for flexible GI scopes is high-level disinfection, which is not sterilization. Funeral workers who rejected shared cremation called it a federal offense or cited the FTC, but the FTC's Funeral Rule covers prices and disclosures, not how many bodies go in a chamber; those limits come from state law. A commenter said she had been told Florida law required group cremation, when Florida actually prohibits it without written permission. In the debt thread, a former collector said confirming your name restarts a seven-year clock and other correctors said a payment does; CFPB separates the credit-report clock from the state deadline for suing.

Colonoscopy scopes are HLD, High Level Disinfected.

### Workers moved the blame up the org chart

When a practice was real, workers rarely denied it; they relocated it. Housekeepers described a fixed room quota per shift, a single rag for each room and corporate time limits per room. Nurses pointed to staffing levels and rounding schedules, childcare staff to ratios and missed breaks, call-center and retail staff to job-loss rules and write-ups. That reframing matters for readers because it changes where a complaint belongs. A hospital worker in the thread suggested asking for the charge nurse, the patient advocate or the ombudsman.

It’s not housekeeping not doing there job it’s corporate and what they allow per room per day.

### Where you live changed the answer

Commenters in Australia, the UK and Canada said several claims describe practices that are regulated differently where they live. Recycling answers split town by town, from collectors and residents who said everything ends up in the landfill to residents fined for putting trash in the recycling bin. Bus-fare answers changed city by city. In the blood-draw argument, 14 comments named what decides it: whether the person completed a program with supervised draws, and whether their state requires such a program. A hotel manager allowed that a motel might behave differently from a hotel.

This is a very American video. Majority of these are untrue in Australia due to regulations.

### Many of the strongest confirmations came from people who left

In childcare especially, the most detailed confirmations came from people who said they quit, sometimes on their first day, or who keep their own children out of daycare: 10 of the childcare confirmations said so. Healthcare whistleblowers described being pushed out or resigning. The people still in the job told a different but compatible story: a childcare director wrote that they had fired many staff members for this behavior. Both sides converged on the same practical checks: drop in unannounced, listen outside the room, watch how children act with a caregiver once they have settled in, and favor centers with cameras.

I’ve terminated DOZENS of “educators” who have done the things you have mentioned.

### Paperwork beat insider rumor on customer-facing claims

The claim that post-office insurance never pays drew almost no support; the rebuttals came from people who had filed claims and been paid when they could prove the contents and value. A rebuttal citing a refund for a late package actually described a delivery guarantee, a different USPS remedy from insurance. Recycling showed the same split: residents cited separate trucks, sorting sites and fines, while a garbage-truck driver described mixed loads, and both sides kept arriving at contamination as the reason a load gets dumped.

Got reimbursed because I could prove the items inside, when I sent it, and kept all information.

### Sales incentives explain the telecom allegations, not how common they are

Former Spectrum workers said commissions reward added lines and services, and that retention staff offer a discount rather than remove a charge they are paid on. Another former worker said employees who add services without permission get fired, and a worker described calls from customers who said they never added a landline. The commission incentive is documented, and the FCC treats unapproved charges on a phone bill as cramming. That makes these stories a reason to ask for itemized terms in writing and to check each bill for services you did not approve, not proof that every bill or employee follows the alleged script.

The more services we add, the more money we get. Retention will offer a discount instead of removing it

### A published rule and a personal incident answer different questions

Official sources can settle what a rule says: hospital financial-assistance policies, the deadlines around old debts, how a biting pet is observed, when cremating several people together is allowed, and how tax rules treat a baby who lived briefly. They cannot reconstruct what happened at the unnamed hospital, collection agency, clinic or funeral home in a comment. Each checked report keeps that boundary visible, and so should a reader deciding what to believe.

## Source, coverage and limits

Source: the TikTok video by redditwithari, video ID 7682251435244834078, asks what open secrets in an industry would horrify the public. The narrated Reddit material is background; this report analyzes the TikTok comments captured for this video.

Collected with Apify on September 26, 2026\. The export contained 2,791 record occurrences, representing 2,645 unique platform comment IDs; 21 had no text. The complete readable archive contains 2,624 comments: 1,718 top-level records and 906 replies.

TikTok displayed 2,922 comments at collection. Seven replies reported by the exported thread counters were unavailable. Collection limits were not reached, but the export is not a guarantee of every platform comment or later addition.

Each retained record was read in thread context and independently reviewed, then assigned once to a substantive report, supporting evidence or an exclusion from the answer layer. Generic agreement, questions and reactions remain in the archive. One multi-detail source remains one report; a distinct reply can become its own report only with its parent preserved.

Counts describe captured sources, not independent witnesses or industry prevalence. Different accounts may repeat a video claim, and commenters’ employment and experiences were not independently authenticated. Source checks qualify general claims without validating anonymous incidents.

Discussion spotlights use captured likes within posting-time cohorts; two zero-like comments were separately selected for specificity. Posting time is not equal exposure. Topic bars count unique supporting source IDs, not the sum of likes.

Official links were checked on September 26, 2026\. They carry their stated geographic and factual limits. Raw quotations are preserved in full with deterministic privacy redaction.

Claim scoreboard: Candidates were found with topic keyword searches across all 2,624 text records (top-level and replies) plus a full read of all 906 replies in their 186 threads. Every candidate was then read in full and hand-coded only when it explicitly took a side on the video claim (called it true/false, said they had seen it or never had, or corrected a detail). Reactions, jokes, questions, 'I heard' hearsay without a stance, and off-claim comments were not coded. Counts are lower bounds of explicit stances in the captured discussion, not votes and not evidence of prevalence; one person can hold both positions. The ledger deliberately codes 243 and 2574 in both teacher sets; the scoreboard shows each of them once, in their own group of teachers who denied it for themselves but saw colleagues do it, so every record sits in exactly one group per claim and nothing is double-counted. Sub-groups that overlap the headline groups, such as the residue caveat or the C-section roles, are counted in the patterns. The 906 replies were linked to 186 parent comments with build\_reply\_graph.py; no reply was left unlinked.
